Not surprisingly but weekends are the hardest for most people to stay on track with their weight loss journey.
It’s a time to relax, unwind and not worry so thinking of what you eat/drink and have to do can be easily seen as daunting and annoying.
Problem is, you can undo your whole progress just in a few days by these thoughts.
Drinking heavily, eating whatever you want for “cheat days” can completely unhinge any plan and make it seem impossible to follow.
The key to succeeding is moderation and as always restraint.
I’m no saint when it comes to either I LOVE me some chips, beer, tequila and fried food. BUT I had to let myself know if I truly wanted the healthy body and life I craved, I’d have to say no and restrain myself from daily or even weekly indulgences.
This doesn’t mean you have to do the same but you do want to consider what you truly want and think if those few beers or handfuls of popcorn are doing to your progress.
Because in the end you have no one to blame but yourself. And though you’ll point to the diet not working or the program being too hard.
It’s only you.
You can still enjoy your weekend. Make substitutions, wine over beer/liquor. Light beer vs regular. Carrot sticks instead of chips. Celery and PB instead of pretzels.
